During these challenging times, Sullivan Healthcare Consulting (SHC) is dedicated to helping hospitals meet the needs of their patients while protecting the health of their employees. The availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) has become a worldwide problem.
Advanced Sterilization Products (ASP) has recently provided instructions for use (IFU) for its STERRAD 100S, NX, and 100NX systems on the sterilization of N95 masks that do not contain cellulose or cellulose-based materials.
Although not indicated for STERRAD, as the IFU notes, “information on how to use the STERRAD Sterilization System is being provided based on the FDA guidance document, “Enforcement Policy for Sterilizers, Disinfectant Devices and Air Purifiers during the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Public Health Emergency,” published March 2020. ASP’s IFU for reprocessing N95 masks is linked to below.
SHC will continue to provide information relevant to this unprecedented situation as it becomes available.
See instructions for N95 reprocessing.
